| DAY 1 |
NAIROBI - AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
Drive through Maasailand to Amboseli National Park which is situated
at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. Lunch in the park is followed by
a game drive. |
| DAY 2 |
AMBOSELI-TSAVO
After an early morning game drive leave Amboseli for Tsavo West National
Park. The route follows the base of the Chyulu hills and crosses a great
lava flow which is evidence of Mount Kilimanjaro's volcanic past. Lunch
and an afternoon game drive in the park including a visit to Mzima Springs. |
| DAY 3 |
TSAVO-NAIVASHA
After breakfast leave for Lake Naivasha taking lunch en-route in Nairobi.
In the afternoon reach Lake Naivasha which lies among extinct volcanoes
on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. The lake is a bird watcher's paradise. |
| DAY 4 |
NAIVASHA-MAASAI MARA
Drive across the Maasai plains to reach the renowned Maasai Mara in
time for lunch. An afternoon game drive introduces you to the giant herds
of plains game and numerous predators which have made the reserve so famous. |
| DAY 5 |
MAASAI MARA GAME RESERVE
A full day of game viewing when it should be possible to see all the
big five as well as a variety of lesser known species. |
| DAY 6 |
MAASAI MARA -NAIROBI
After breakfast depart from the reserve and re-cross the Rift Valley
to reach Nairobi by lunchtime. |
